Owner / Editor
Susan Young is a journalist who has spent the last 20 years editing the DRAM. Prior to that, she spent a decade working in Public Relations and Events dealing with clients as diverse as Cumbernauld Development Agency and James Burrough Distillers.
Her knowledge of the Scottish licensed trade is extensive and she also instigated the first ever Scottish licensed trade awards which have evolved into the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards.
Our sales supremo Lucy McGovern has been with the company for close to three years. She has an impressive decade of sales experience, including three years specialising in the licensed trade.
Lucy is originally from Arran but was lured to Glasgow 13 years ago. She quickly fell in love with the city's ever-evolving culinary scene and spends her spare time exploring what it has to offer.
Laura Smith writes across our flagship publications, including DRAM and The Wee Dram.
Dedicated to her craft, Laura took part in the world's first whisky diploma crash course as research for The Wee Dram – and the whisky novice very nearly passed too!
She has previously worked as an online journalist for STV and Glasgow-based charity INSP.
Our latest recruit, Kate Austin, is responsible for the design of Media World Ltd's numerous publications.
She has worked as a graphic designer for seven years and cut her teeth creating layouts for the Community Advertiser.
As well as being an InDesign hotshot, Kate does a mean dog impression, which has made her extremely popular with our office dogs Lucy and Tootsie.
