Molson Coors and Sky collaborate

Molson Coors and Sky have linked-up to help licensees boost footfall, reduce costs and provide an improved customer experience. Independent licensed premises that buy a Sky TV
commercial subscription and drinks from Molson Coors’ portfolio can save up to a third on their Sky Ultimate subscription, and even get a price freeze on Carling until December 2013. In addition
customers will be able to receive free WiFi. The discounts will be in addition to the current food and location discounts offered by Sky. Simon Cox, wholesale business managing director at Molson Coors, said, “We all know the difficulties that the independent on-trade is facing and Molson Coors and Sky are committed to supporting the industry by helping to drive people into their local. Nothing does that better than the mix of great drinks and top class sport. We have joined forces to offer significant savings at a time when we know our customers are particularly price sensitive.” Tennent’s lager sales overseas and in Ireland contributed towards a 47% rise in C&C’s export revenues during the three months to the end of May. But cider sales dropped 21% in the UK.
