It’s official Andy Murray has bought Cromlix House Hotel, the Stirlingshire hotel where his brother was married, and plans to turn it into a five star venue in time for next year’s Ryder Cup.
Cromlix House, formerly owned by Ian Grier and David O’Connor, closed suddenly just over a year ago, with many brides to be being left out of pocket.
However under Murray’s stewardship the hotel is set to be transformed. He said in a statement on his website, “By re-establishing Cromlix as a leading luxury hotel at the heart of the Dunblane community, we will be able to attract new visitors to the area, create a number of new jobs and focus on supporting other local businesses.
“I’m pleased to be able to give something back to the community I grew up in.”
Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI) will manage Cromlix House on behalf of Murray and it has already been revealed that the new Cromlix House will feature a Chez Roux restaurant.
