Anyone who’s anyone from Scotland’s bar, restaurant and hospitality industries will be at Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel tonight for the DRAM Scottish Licensed Trade Awards.
The awards, dubbed the licensed trade ‘Oscars’, recognise excellence throughout Scotland’s pubs, restaurants and hotels, and in this its 18th year, is the longest-established awards of its kind in Scotland.
This year’s theme is the Queen’s Coronation.
The judges were out in force in the past few weeks whittling down all the entries to a few finalists for each of the 18 categories.
Event organiser and DRAM publisher Susan Young said, “The Scottish licensed trade never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think the standard of entry can’t be topped, I’m proved wrong year after year.
“Businesses from all over Scotland were nominated, and my fellow judges and I had a lot to chew over before deciding on all the finalists. The calibre was just outstanding.”
