Laphroaig goes live from New York this Thursday

THE seventh annual Laphroaig Live tasting event will be broadcast from New York this Thursday.

The most talked about live stream whisky tasting of the year will be viewable from 8pm Eastern Seaboard Time from Brooklyn and whisky fans worldwide can tune in online to take part in the unique experience.

Four experts will make up the panel for the 45-minute live stream, sampling four very unique and complex whisky expressions of the world’s most richly flavoured Scotch whisky.

As well as offering an interactive tasting experience with the experts, the broadcast will shed light on Prohibition era America, tracing the heritage of the whisky all the way through to the booming whisky cocktail scene it helped to create.

Last year nearly 2.5 million people across the world tuned into the event, with viewers this year able to make the most of front row seats to taste and discuss the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, Laphroaig QA, Maker’s 46, and Laphroaig Cairdeas 2013.

This year’s panelists include Laphroaig master distiller, John Campbell; Bourbon Ambassador, Adam Harris; Mixologist and founder of Ward III, Michael J. Neff; and GQ web editor, Kevin Sintumuang.

Master Ambassador for Laphroaig, Simon Brooking will also be in attendance. You can tune in on www.laphroaig.com/live
