LOVERS of Glenlivet whisky are being given the chance to help pick the brand’s next limited edition single malt release.
Called the ‘Glenlivet Guardians’ Chapter,’ customers from across the world are being called upon to select between three single malt whiskies created by the master distiller, Alan Winchester.
Alan whittled the choice down from the distillery’s exceptional cask collection, classifying them by taste. That sees a choice between the ‘classic,’ ‘exotic,’ and ‘revival’ casks to be taken on a worldwide tour and showcased at tasting events.
Now Glenlivet lovers – equipped with fantasy like name, Guardians of the Glenlivet – will come together to sample, savour and select the expression they want to see released.
Guardians can cast their vote on a specially devised website, whilst finding out about the ‘classic, exotic and revival’ themes in other areas of cultural appreciation aside from whisky, such as art, design, style and technology.
The choice will be made in late December, with the limited run of 2000 nine litre cases released globally from February 2014, with UK Guardians able to pre-order the product before it available anywhere else.
