Expansion and growth sees creation of fifty new positions for Scottish company, Brewdog

FIFTY new jobs are to be created as craft brewers, Brewdog reported a record growth for 2013.

The jobs will be created in the next six months by the Scottish brewer who say they are on track to turnover £19m, up just over £8m from £10.8m in 2012.

The Aberdeenshire-based company are in the process of investing £5m in the expansion of their Ellon brewery after launching its third equity scheme to raise capital.

Many of the jobs to be created are in management, including a head of sales position. Co-founder JamesWatt said, “We are growing. Fast. Our success is a direct result of the awesome team we have built over the past few years.”

That saw them raise more than £1m from investors in just 24 hours after launching the plans. In recent years they have opened several bars across the UK, as well as their first international location in Stockholm, Sweden.
