Jose Cuervo and Selfridges team up to show their respect

Jose Cuervo Tradicional Day of the Dead Bottles

TEQUILA giants, Jose Cuervo have signed a deal with Selfridges to celebrate the iconic Mexican festival, Day of the Dead.

The November 2 festival, Día de los Muertos, is traditionally celebrated by those living in Mexico and parts of Central and South America and is a chance for families to remember loved ones who have passed away.

Working with designer, Lauren Baker the tequila brand have taken over a window at the shop’s Oxford Street store in London. That coincides with the launching of a limited edition bottle, with a series of skull workshops led by Baker also to be held.

Brand ambassador for Jose Cuervo and Mexican native, Gabriela Moncada said, “The essence of this beautiful ritual is to lovingly remember relatives that have passed on and give meaning and continuity to the human condition. As an authentic Mexican brand, Jose Cuervo is a suitable guardian for this grand celebration.”

Selfridges will launch their 2013 Christmas campaign at the end of the month and the window will also have some festive elements to its design.
