Gordon & MacPhail have won the Best Delivered Operation – On Trade Award at the Scottish Wholesaler Achiever Awards 2014. This win comes less than two weeks after the Elgin-based company was named Drinks Wholesaler of the Year for the third year in succession at the Drinks Retailing Awards.
Judges at the Scottish Wholesaler Achiever Awards highlighted Gordon & MacPhail’s responsible corporate approach, high levels of service and commitment to staff as standout features.
Michael Urquhart, Managing Director of Gordon & MacPhail, said the company was delighted to have been presented with the Best Delivered Operation – On Trade Award in Edinburgh. He commented, “We take great pride in our staff and our local community here in beautiful Moray, and it is very gratifying to win further recognition for this from our peers in the industry. It is a great tribute to all the staff at Gordon & MacPhail and an endorsement of the responsible approach our business takes and the high level of service we offer to all our customers.”
Established in 1895, and owned and managed by the third and fourth generations of the Urquhart family, Gordon & MacPhail stocks 4,000 product lines, including more than 800 wines and a wide range of beers from Scottish microbreweries. The company also aims to stock every UK distillery bottling of Scotch Whisky available in the UK.
