The Corinthian in Glasgow, owned by G1, has had its extended licensing hours cut from 6am to 3am, following a decision by Glasgow Licensing Board. Its license was reviewed at Glasgow’s Burgh Court Hall earlier today (11th April) and The Corinthian’s extended licensing hours, which allowed them to sell alcohol until 6am on the provision that the venue’s primary function was as a casino, was revoked due to a number of serious assaults on the premises within the last twelve months. Police and Licensing Standards Officers also believe that the venue was in breach of its original operating plan. As a result The Corinthian must now stop serving alcohol at 3am from Monday 14th April onwards. Alcohol will now only be available between 3am and 6am for customers who pre-book specially allocated gambling areas.
