Glenrothes World Ambassador to Host Tasting in Fraserburgh

Cheers Cafe, Bar and Tavern in Fraserburgh will be welcoming The Glenrothes malt whisky World Ambassador Ronnie Cox to their venue at the end of June for a malt sampling session. Although a date has yet to be finalised, owner Dennis Forsyth plans to make the most of this special event.

Dennis told DRAM, “Glencairn Glass will engrave a 12” crystal whisky glass for us, and anyone drinking The Glenrothes malt range will get a raffle ticket to be placed in the vase. The competition will last right through VisitScotlands 2014 Whisky month of May (including World Whisky Day 17th May) and until the second week in June. Five names will be drawn out of the vase and each will get a place at the tasting session for free, including six malts, a whisky liqueur, a meal consisting of homemade haggis in a whisky sauce accompanied by homemade oatcakes plus a sample of Maxxium’s premium No. 3 gin.

“On the night we will draw raffles from the vase and the first name drawn who has also attended the The Glenrothes tasting event will win the vase. The crystal vase would normally retail for between £200 to £250, so it’s quite a good prize!”
