All aboard for Anchor Line launch

Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta are only weeks away from opening their most ambitious project to date, the new Anchor Line Bar and Grill on St Vincent Place, Glasgow. This is their first business venture to have a dedicated bar as well as a restaurant. Until now, all of their restaurants which include Di Maggio’s, Cafe Andaluz, Amarone and Barolo Grill, have concentrated on the food side of the business.
The Anchor Line Bar and Grill has been named after the company that formerly occupied the A-listed building, Anchor Line cruise ships, which sailed between New York and Glasgow. The sympathetic refurbishment will obviously retain many of its original features due to its A-listed status, but it will also have a Prohibition-era interior theme. More next month.
