Grey Goose has announced the launch of a new, ultra-premium expression, Grey Goose VX, which stands for Vodka Exceptionelle. What makes it different is that it combines vodka with drops of cognac grapes drawn from the Grand Champagne cru.
Speaking on the new launch, Grey Goose creator Francois Thibault said, “From its inception, Grey Goose has always pioneered new and exciting territories. In creating Grey Goose VX, I wanted to capture the aromatic notes of a precious cognac, bringing its delicate essence of orchard fruits, plum, apricot and the mild flavours of wild honey to the remarkable character of Grey Goose vodka.”
Grey Goose Brand Director Nick Marshall said, “This really is a significant change for the white spirits category. It expands the vodka experience for luxury spirits connoisseurs across both white and dark categories..”
Don’t expect to be able to sell Grey Goose VX any time soon however; it is only being released to selected on-trade venues in Spring 2015. Another Grey Goose invention is also not destined to be seen in Scotland any time soon, but look out for it if you are checking out some London nightclubs… Night Vision is a monochromatic, matte blue 1.75 litre Grey Goose vodka bottle with an illuminated frosted lone goose.
