BrewDog appoints MD to bars division

BrewDog has appointed David McDowall as its new Managing Director of bars. He will be responsible for overseeing the strategic growth and management of the BrewDog bar estate. McDowall who was formerly Group Operations Director at the G1 Group, will have as his primary focus the task of growing the UK bar division, which currently consists of 18 sites. With new bars planned for Glasgow, Brighton and Dalston.  James Watt, co-founder of BrewDog commented, “David has a killer business head and awesome strategic experience of growing a hugely successful bar division. We want to ensure that we can satisfy the thirst of our loyal craft beer community by opening more kickass bars, and ensuring that each and every one delivers an amazing BrewDog experience every time.”
