Four redundancies at Maclay Inns HQ

EY, the administrators of Maclay Group plc and Maclay Inns Ltd, have today confirmed that four employees at Maclay’s Alloa headquarters have been made redundant. The redundancies were made following the transfer of a management agreement between Maclay Inns Ltd and Thistle Pub Company III plc to LT Pub Management Ltd.

Joint administrator Gavin Yuill said, “The number of units under our control fell by 25% following the transfer of the management agreement with TPCIII, making a small number of redundancies at Maclay head office unavoidable. We would like to thank those individuals, and indeed all the company’s staff, for their assistance over the past week.”

The administrators continue to assess Maclay’s financial position while simultaneously responding to expressions of interest in the business.

The redundancies will have no impact on those properties now operated and managed by EY, which continue to trade as a going concern.
