Matthew Clark increases premium wines portfolio

The number of consumers enjoying premium wines has increased, according to research from Matthew Clark. The latest research from the wine and spirits wholesalers shows that premium wine sales in the on trade have risen 10.7% year on year with gastropubs up 52%, and restaurants, up 14.5%.

As a result Matthew Clark has increased its premium wine portfolio with the addition of 30 new boutique producers. The wines, hand-selected by Matthew Clark’s buying team,  includes premium still white Sauvignon Blanc wines from France and New Zealand. The research showed that Sauvignon Blanc accounts for almost 43% of Matthew Clark’s still white category.
