Paul and Poppy Szkiler are the new owners of historic Glenapp Castle Hotel in Ballantrae, which was put up for sale by owners, MacMillan Hotels, earlier this year. Family-owned MacMillan Hotels bought the building in 1994 transformed it into a luxury five-red AA star hotel with 17 rooms.
The Szkilers, who bought the hotel through the London-based investment fund that he chairs, Truestone Impact Investment Management, have said that they plan to expand the hotel.
John Orr, former Castle manager at the hotel for 12 years, has been appointed General Manager.
