The Signature Pub Group has made its first acquisition in the west of Scotland with its purchase of the Thistle Pub Company.
Its new pubs are The Raven, The Hope and Munros in Glasgow; The Wick in Prestwick and Clerk’s Bar in Edinburgh.
Signature broadened its business outwith Edinburgh with the purchase of The West Port Bar & Kitchen in St Andrews in the latter part of last year.
Nic Wood, director of Signature Pub Group said; “The Thistle Pubs are well maintained and cared-for units with a strong customer base and marry well into the wider Signature estate. There are synergies that can benefit their integration and this is an exciting acquisition. We are delighted with this investment which expands our portfolio and gives us new reach within Scotland.”
The purchases bring Signature’s estate to 12 outlets. It recently spent £1.35m redeveloping the former Edinburgh home of Kenneth Grahame, the author of The Wind In The Willows, into Badger & Co.
