Volcan Wolf to launch across the UK

Volcan Wolf has been selected as the main beer for the launch of 2016 Natural Selection Brewing team’s brewing recipe.

The team, a collaboration between The Institute of Brewing and Distilling, Stewart Brewing and Heriott Watt University, will now start full scale production for the launch in July.

Every year, four students are selected to develop, market and sell a large-scale production brew across the UK. Since January, the students have been working on their final recipe, and brewing one-off recipes, two of which were hosted at the Edinburgh Beer Festival. Out of the two – Volcan Wolf and Flamango Galapagose – Volcan Wolf sold out so has been selected to represent the team.

We were fortunate to have a great turn out at the events, with Volcan Wolf selling out in just a few hours,” says Tanya Kondratyuk, head of marketing for the team. “Due to the overwhelming support for Volcan Wolf, we’ve decided to proceed with this as our main brew. We will begin large scale production on May 24th and will host the launch event on July 8th at Teviot Row House in Edinburgh. The event will also include a couple of speciality brews and a barrel aged Black Berliner Weisse.”
