Pop-up Urban is a Pop-down

Alan Tomkins has opened his first pop-up, although really it is a pop-down called Sub-Urban, underneath his popular restaurant Urban Bar & Brasserie in Glasgow’s St Vincent Place. However it is only open at weekends and from 4pm on a Friday and from 1pm on a Saturday. Alan Tomkins, Urban’s owner, said, “Everyone seemed to be doing pop-ups so we thought we’d do a ‘pop-down’. It’s been very popular so far. We’re committed to having it until September and we’ll see after that.”
