J₂O goes for gold with on trade Christmas campaign

Soft drinks brand J₂O has launched its Golden Straw Christmas campaign to drive extra seasonal sales for licensees.

The initiative offers chances for both consumers and on trade outlets to win prizes over the festive season – including a £5,000 cash prize for participating outlets.

Customers who purchase across the core J₂O and J₂O Spritz ranges will be offered a special straw on purchase, with the chance to win an instant free drink if they unwrap a Golden Straw.

Codes printed on the inside of the straw wrapper also allow customers to enter an online competition to win a grand prize of £10,000 and offers a chance for the outlet to win £5,000 too.

Russell Kirkham, Senior Shopper Marketing Manager – Out of Home at Britvic Soft Drinks, said, “Christmas is always a key sales period for the J₂O brand but with this consumer activation we’re helping our customers drive even bigger festive sales in-outlet with this fun and engaging competition.

“Not only will consumers enjoy taking part and winning free drinks, but there’s also a chance for our customers to win £5,000 for their outlet too – so even more reasons to stock up on J₂O this Christmas!”

The campaign runs from the beginning of November until late December. Participating licensees will be provided with a POS kit including dripmats and A3 consumer posters to raise awareness of the competition.
