Tennent’s has introduced top-selling American beer, Schlitz, to the Scottish on-trade.
Dubbed “The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous”, the light and crisp 4.7% ABV beer was launched in 1849 and enjoyed particular success in the UK in the 1980’s.
Head of Development Brands at Tennent’s, Angus Lawrie, said, “We’re excited to introduce Schlitz. There are a lot of drinkers that will look back fondly on the brand’s glory days back in the 1980’s and will want to try it again.
“However, we know that as a light, refreshing, genuine imported beer, Schlitz will appeal to all beer drinkers who appreciate quality, heritage and craftsmanship.”
Schlitz is available in 355ml cans and 12oz bottles.
