New Tennent’s lager fount speaks volumes in on-trade

One thousand customisable  Tennent’s Lager founts have been rolled out across the Scottish on-trade, as the Tam O’Shanter Inn, Ayr recently became the latest venue increase its lager sales with the popular product.

In a trial of the first 150 outlets to have received the new fount, 4.4% average uplift in Tennent’s Lager sales was recorded. The trial compared figures from the 12-week period before and after installation.

David Cowan, Owner of the Tam O’Shanter Inn, Ayr, said, “We’ve definitely noticed an increase in pints of Tennent’s Lager being sold since receiving it which has been a huge benefit to the business.”

The roll-out of the new Tennent’s Lager fount is ongoing with an estimated 8,300 founts expected to be in pubs, clubs and restaurants across Scotland by the end of the year.
