TLT Solicitors has grown its Licensing team with the arrival of Lindsays Head of Licensing & Gambling, Caroline Loudon, and new licensing solicitor, Michael McDougall, who also joined from Lindsays.
Loudon (pictured above) has significant experience in alcohol, civic and gambling law, with over 11 years’ experience appearing at licensing boards in contentious applications.
She has acted for clients across the licensing spectrum including celebrity chefs, five-star hotels, academic institutions, festival and large event teams, international casinos and UK wide bingo/casino operators.
Meanwhile, McDougall has represented a broad range of licensing operators at various licensing boards and is highly regarded amongst his peers and clients. He is a former Assistant Clerk at Glasgow City Council and a member of the Law Society Licensing Sub-committee. Both will work out of TLT’s Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
TLT’s Stephen McGowan, partner and head of licensing (Scotland) said, “We are ambitious for our clients and want to attract the leading players in the market to support them. And, we are doing just that with Caroline and Michael.
“Both join one of Scotland’s most experienced and passionate licensing teams. Caroline’s reputation in the field needs no introduction; she is one of Scotland’s leading licensing lawyers and lives and breathes licensing just like we do.”
TLT’s Licensing team has represented a number of leading trade operators at licensing boards all over Scotland including The Rusk Group, West Brewery, Greene King, Montpeliers, Iceland, Paddy Power, Punch Taverns, Lisini Pubco, Clutha Vaults, KFC, Eden Mill and Nobles.
