The Dockyard Social, Glasgow’s newest street food market and bar hub, will be making a return this weekend. This return follows a short absence while going through its planning permission application. This weekend, Dockyard will be opening for a 3-day pop-up showcasing 12 carefully selected food vendors.
The Dockyard Social is family friendly, doggie friendly and promises something for everyone. The Dockyard aims to showcase the best Glasgow’s food and drink scene has to offer all under one roof, and has a real focus on community and giving back. That is why this weekend, it will be donating some of the ticket proceeds to helping the Glasgow School of Art rebuild following the fire.
To celebrate the relaunch, Dockyard has started its new event,
‘Friday Night Streetfood Fight’ to inspire some friendly competition and bring some fun to the weekend. Customers who buy 8 portions of food and 4 drinks will be entered into a prize draw to win £200. It will also benefit the traders as vendors who sell 100 portions of food will also be entered into a draw to win £200. The Dockyard now plans to be open every two weeks in the lead-up to its full license application.
