Not to be outshone by all the gleaming new pubs popping up all around it, Belhaven Pub Partners has renovated its Glasgow Finnieston stalwart, The Grove, on Kelvingrove Street, including a shiny new illuminated exterior sign.
The interior layout is the same, but the bar has been cleaned up, new T-bar founts installed, caramel leather upholstery on the banquettes added and the old pub sign mounted on the wall inside. All the lights are new, including some nifty Makar gin bottle wall-lights.
GM Rachel Wylie told DRAM, “The refurbishment’s been incredibly well received by the customers and staff, but the most important nod of approval has come from my die-hard regulars, most of whom have been drinking here for the best part of 30 years. They think it’s fabulous.”
