The Dapper Mongoose at 248 Kilmarnock Road, Glasgow, in the former Bell and Felix, is the first solo venture for licensee, Andrew Logan. It’s on course to open at the end of October.
Andrew told DRAM, “I’ve worked for large companies like La Tasca to privately owned family businesses. The Dapper Mongoose concept is a high quality well finished and elegant looking venue delivering ethically sourced high quality fresh produce.”
He continued, “I’ve tried to restore the unit back to its original glory. It has wonderful height and two magnificent columns with ornate decoration at the tops. I’ve incorporated the bar to wrap around these as they are the main feature upon entering. The rear wall is exposed brick work and I’ve had the floor sanded down and resealed and left in its original state.”
