Licensee, Jason Andrews, has invested £750K in transforming the old train station in Kilmacolm (formerly The Pullman), on Station Road, into a bar and restaurant called Carriages – the only pub in the village after its former only pub closed in April this year.
Jason also owns Houston’s The River Inn and leases The Fox and Hounds, also in Houston, as well as Carriages from
Karen and Graeme Finnie.
Jason told DRAM, “We ripped the whole place out and added a kitchen extension. Because we’re close to the cycle track, we are going to be investing massively in the beer garden. Next year, it’ll have a BBQ, gin area, and cycle repair area.
