There were nine award categories at the inaugural Glasgow Bartenders Ball and Glasgow Bar Awards including ‘Hospitality Legend’, which Geraldine Murphy of The Pot Still (pictured) walked away with, and ‘Best Shake’ going to Liam Grogan and Marc McPartlin from Tiki Bar. Saint Luke’s and The Winged Ox was the venue and they happened on Monday 20th January, following a judging process involving industry votes and a panel of judges.
The awards were created by the Glasgow Bartenders Club community members Andy Gemmell of The Gate, David Smillie of Wemyss Family Spirits and Fraser McIlwraith, of Dark Art Drinks.
Speaking about the awards, Andy Gemmell, said, “This was our opportunity to give back, create something that would say thanks for all their hard work in this amazing industry and help them build new friendships across the trade.”
