Blue Lagoon acquires Livingston site

business expansion-10419

Fish and chip shop chain Blue Lagoon, owned by the Varese family for more than 40 years, has acquired a site in Livingston – the former Aulds bakery in The Centre shopping centre. It will be transformed into a £205K 60-seater restaurant, the 13th in its portfolio of directly-run and franchised sites, opening on Friday, 20th March.

The Livingston move comes shortly after the company spent £500K to double the capacity of its restaurant on Glasgow’s Argyle Street.

That followed an investment of almost £1M to acquire and fit out an outlet in Perth, where there’s also an 80-cover restaurant.
