Best Bar None Scotland has announced its finalists for its National Awards taking place on 19th March 2020 at the Dunblane Hydro Hotel.
The awards honour the very best venues in Scotland, which have gone ‘over and above’ in terms of promoting safety and social responsibility. In total, eleven awards will be given out on the night, including for Best Pub/Bar, Heart of the Community and Best Newcomer.
There will also be a Platinum Award given to a venue which has shown continued excellence and commitment to Best Bar None, and of course the overall winner will be announced.
Best Bar None Scotland is now operational in more than 50 towns and cities across Scotland, many of which have reported record numbers of venues taking part in the scheme this year.
Robert Hogg, Best Bar None Scotland’s National Coordinator, said, “Many of our Best Bar None schemes have seen real growth this year, including Lanarkshire which has grown by nearly 40% and East Lothian which has almost doubled in size. East Ayrshire and Inverness have also reported record applicants, while Lochaber ran a Best Bar None Scheme for the first time.
“When you combine this together with the thriving schemes in the likes of Glasgow and Edinburgh, you can really see the difference Best Bar None Scotland is making throughout the country in terms of improving safety standards and championing best practice.
