Lynnet Leisure and Manorview Hotels (whose Director is Steve Graham, pictured) have released the following statements to their guests in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Both companies say that, while guest safety is paramount, it is business as usual.
Said Lynnet Leisure’s communication, “We are currently facing trying and uncertain times regarding COVID-19. Although it’s causing much concern across Scotland, the UK and further afield, we want to reassure you that the health and safety of our guests and team members remains our number one priority.
“Whilst we deal with this rapidly evolving situation and try to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have been enforcing guidelines set out by the World Health Organization and Health Protection Scotland, by heightening our usual high standards of cleaning in every capacity. All of our teams have been briefed in methods of prevention and we will continue to maintain best practise.
“Our bars, restaurants and wedding venues continue to operate ‘business as usual’ and we hope to welcome you in the days ahead. However if you don’t feel up to it, please feel free to contact us.
“Coronavirus remains a fast-moving situation but be assured that we aim to limit any disruption it may cause and minimise it’s impact. If you have any questions regarding the issue, or unsure of how it affects you or future bookings, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.”
Manorview Hotels’s statement said, “Following the current situation around the Coronavirus, we wanted to reach out to you. We have been monitoring government and WHO advice on COVID-19 and we are mindful of our responsibilities to you and to our team.
“You will be aware that as of yesterday (Thursday 12th March 2020) we have moved from the ‘containment’ phase to the ‘delay’ phase of COVID-19.
“Firstly, we wanted to reassure you of our responsibilities. The welfare of our guests and team has always been of the greatest importance. Please be assured that health and safety of people is our priority. Across all our venues the highest hygiene and cleaning standards are being upheld daily, regardless of the situation.
Updates and reminders are regularly being sent to all our teams and we are following developments constantly with intense scrutiny.
“Secondly, we would ask you to work with us and to be mindful, as we all seek to manage COVID-19 as best we can, and to help us all to protect those most vulnerable. We are following all NHS and Government guidelines and we would ask you also to support us in doing this, to try and minimise the risks of spreading any infection. The current advice is to self-isolate for 7 days if you have coronavirus symptoms.
