The G1 Group has set up a dedicated task force to manage the response to COVID-19, maintaining daily communications and updates to its workforce to ensure it remains fully compliant in its response.
Said Nicola Grant, Head Of Communications, “With the ongoing COVID-19 situation at the forefront of everyone’s mind, The G1 Group are keen to make assurances that the wellbeing of our customers and teams is our absolute priority. The commitment from G1 Group and our venues is that we will adhere to the strictest possible terms of all advice issues by W.H.O., as well as the protocols advised by local and international authorities.”
The group also intends to take further protective measures above and beyond those currently advised. These include (but are not limited to)-
- All employees are fully aware of the current requirements and are undertaking the highest levels of health and safety procedure to ensure that excellent hygiene standards are maintained throughout every aspect of our venues.
- Any member of staff returning from any of the affected countries, or those who have been in close proximity with someone recently returning from these areas- are being asked to self-quarantine for a period of 14 days, and this is has been the case for some time now.
- For the comfort and well being of our guests, as of 12th March, we have taken steps to introduce social distancing into our cinemas, with 1 unoccupied seat being left between all bookings.
- Preparedness measures are also under way to support some of our teams to work from home where able, with all non business critical meetings being conducted via conference call. In venue training has also been cancelled.
