Michael and Michelle Mooney-Bergson, the Glasgow operators behind Buck’s Bar and Variety Bar are rebranding SoHo Bar and Pizzeria on Miller Street as a deep-dish pizza restaurant called Thundercat. Chef Yvonne Noon, formerly of the Sisters Kelvingrove, will be heading up the kitchen and it opens on Friday, July 17 with the same management team.
Said Michael, “The team who brought you Buck’s Bar have joined forces with top chef Yvonne Noon. Thundercat will specialise in deep dish pizza pies in the authentic style native to Chicago.
“Our pizzas are made with Intense 8 hour slow tomato sauce and a crispy, buttermilk base like nothing you’ve ever tasted before. Also expect fresh pressed waffles, American diner staples and of course..there will be fried chicken.”
