Chef Nico Simeone has reopened Six by Nico in Glasgow Finnieston, Glasgow Southside and Edinburgh City Centre after 15 weeks of closure because of COVID-19. Nico is preparing to open his first Fitzrovia London location today.
The restaurant brand has introduced a new ‘Wellbeing Policy’ across their restaurants in line with UK government guidelines.
‘The Chippie’ menu has been refined over the years and is the first menu to be served up across all of their UK restaurant sites. The menu was the brand’s inaugural theme and introduced to launch the Glasgow Finnieston restaurant in 2017 and items on the menu have been re-imaged.
His BBC Scotland TV series aired its final show in the series last week. The four part documentary – filmed over 12 months- followed the Six by Nico team’s attempts to expand beyond Scotland. Last week’s programmes (filmed in March 2020) highlighted Nico’s main obstacle with opening in London as the news and worry of Coronavirus increased.
In April, Chef Nico Simeone launched Home by Nico across Belfast, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh to allow people to experience Six by Nico from home. It will be paused as the teams focus on re-opening all Six by Nico restaurants and plans for the food delivery business will be revealed later this year.
