The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) has partnered with the Shield Safety Group (SSG) to provide support and advice for its members in matters related to Covid-19, food, fire, health and safety compliance. The BII supports over 8,000 licensed trade venues across the UK.

Said BII CEO Steven Alton,  “Shield Safety Group joining the BII as a Trusted Helpline Partner has been a real boost to the service and support we offer our members. Pubs are woven into the social fabric of our nation, and the expertise that SSG and is providing to our members, through the EHO Helpline and free Risk Assessment template, has enabled them to reopen their venues safely and with confidence.

BII members can now access to the Safe to Trade Scheme’s guide to reopening, alongside SSG’s free Risk Assessment template, which has been tailored especially for the licensed trade industry. The assessment comes with a companion guide and additional support when completing the assessment can be accessed via SSG’s free EHO Practitioner Helpline, which is open to members from 9am – 5pm daily.

SSG will also keep BII members abreast of news on changes to regulations and protocols, which due to the global Covd-19 pandemic, are being regularly updated and released.
