Business partners Ross Anderson and Darren Maragach have opened The Beach Bar on Aberdeen’s Beach Esplanade, formerly The Motown Bar.

As well as the sea-view bar, the partners also own a bowling alley in Elgin and indoor inflatable theme parks in Aberdeen, Livingston, and Cumbernauld under the Innoflate brand.

Beach Bar Assistant Manager Ross Thomson told DRAM, “ The unit was disused for quite a while since it’s Motown days and we have added new furniture, a new back bar and painted everything pluse we have also upgraded the cellar. So far we have had a good response from our customers despite our capacity shrinking from 750 to the terrace only with ten tables of six.”
