Glasgow-based Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group (DRG) is taking its Cafe Andaluz tapas restaurant brand to Grey Street in Newcastle in October.

Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group secured the former Carluccio’s premises earlier this year and the new bar and restaurant is expected to create 60 jobs.

The group owned by directors Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta, pictured, already operates 18 restaurants and five food court outlets across a number of different concepts and brands – including five sites under the Cafe Andaluz brand, with two each in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and one in Aberdeen, as well as its Di Maggio’s and Amarone brands.
