Superico Bar and Lounge at 99 Hanover Street, which was crowned top ‘Bar, Club & Lounge’ at the Hospitality Design Awards in New York in 2021, has announced a summer line-up of live music events featuring some of the best DJs from around Scotland with over 20 days and nights of DJ sets in August.

They will be showcasing some of the biggest names from Scotland’s club scene in the series of live DJ sets, including Edinburgh’s Nasty P, who has supported a number of artists from Beyonce and Jay Z plus, Glasgow’s Ewan Chamber, DJ collective RMN.BTS and Edinburgh’s Scott Elliot.

The 19th-century Georgian building and former banking hall in Edinburgh’s New Town has been transformed into a Chilean-inspired, sun-drenched party palace by Edinburgh-based design studio, JA!COCO! The stylish venue now resembles a Tamara de Lempicka painting, with Art-Deco-style shapes and jewel-like colours, including turquoise and bright yellow.

Superico Bar and Lounge will be featuring international Aperitivo-style drinks with a section for spritzes and Martini’s served straight from the freezer, as well as speciality wines from around the world served by the glass. Signature cocktails include Padron Martini; Yuzu Spritz; and Superico’s Peach Negroni.
Manager and mixologist Mike Lynch said, “We’ve quickly established Superico Bar and Lounge as one of Edinburgh’s most stylish design-led cocktail bars and live music venues right in the heart of the New Town.

“Following our recent award win in New York, we’re really excited to be hosting some of the biggest names from the UK’s DJ scene this summer. Throughout August and beyond, we’ll be turning up the volume with over 20 days and nights of 7” vinyl live DJ sets, offering a wide and varied mix of funk, hip hop, reggae, Latin, soul, cool covers and world beats. Our state of the art sound system and turntables are made by Matersounds and speakers by Void acoustics.

“The main section of our cocktail menu is filled with more approachable and fun seasonal drinks that match the bright decor and atmosphere of the venue. We always make sure the bar is stocked with local and independent brands that are selected purely on flavour, so we make sure our guests always have a great, tasty drink in hand.”
