Corona turns the heat up with the rollout of Corona Tropical

Corona, part of Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, has announced the nationwide rollout of Corona Tropical, an alcoholic sparkling water made with fruit juice.

Corona Tropical will launch in a single 330ml can in the On-Trade.

It enters the rapidly growing sparkling alcoholic beverage market which has been rising year-on-year and is forecast to be worth £17m in value by the end of 2022, up 193%.

Liz Hemus, Corona Tropical Marketing Manager said, “We’re excited to offer a new Corona beverage to those who love the brand but are looking for options outside of beer. Alcoholic sparkling waters and RTDs have been gaining huge momentum in recent years.

“It’s been a big year of innovation for the brand following the launch of Corona Cero in March, and we’re excited to expand our super-premium portfolio beyond beer to cater to even more consumer needs.

To support the launch, Corona Tropical launched a nationwide marketing campaign including digital and out-of-home media to showcase the quality refreshment credentials of the brand.
