Michelin-starred The Kitchin in Edinburgh has been named as Scotland’s Best Restaurant at The World Culinary Awards 2022 – the second year in a row that the title has been won by the team at The Kitchin.

Commenting on the award, Chef Owner, Tom Kitchin said, “It’s an honour to be recognised with this accolade.  Not only is the World Culinary Awards renowned as a global celebration of great gastronomy, but it’s even more of an honour to have been voted Scotland’s Best Restaurant by our guests.

“It’s something that we feel really proud of and is testament to the entire team and their shared passion for what we do.  This is a brilliant way to end the year and encourages us to continue to enhance the guests’ dining experience into 2023 and beyond.”

The World Culinary Awards, a sister to the World Travel Awards, is a global initiative that recognises and rewards excellence in the culinary industry.  The shortlist of restaurants was curated and nominated by the 3rd annual World Culinary Awards, and the winner was determined by a public vote, which took place over summer 2022.
