Family-owned Glendola Leisure has announced its membership in the Zero Carbon Forum as it aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions across its portfolio of hotels, pubs, coffee roasteries, restaurants, and a brewery.

Established in 1973 by Peter Salussolia OBE, the company operates 17 venues, across London and Scotland. Glendola’s Scottish venues in Edinburgh and Glasgow include Shilling Brewing Co and Gordon Street Coffee, the first shop in Glasgow’s city centre to roast its own brand coffee on-site within the coffee shop.

Alex Salussolia, Managing Director at Glendola Leisure, said, “Joining the Zero Carbon Forum is a crucial step in our journey towards net zero and enhancing our current sustainability initiatives. We recognise the hospitality sector’s vital role in addressing climate issues and are eager to collaborate with the forum to further their work in reducing carbon emissions across the industry.”

Mark Chapman, CEO and Founder of Zero Carbon Forum, added,  “We are thrilled to have Glendola Leisure Group as our newest member and are committed to helping all their venues establish clear, actionable goals to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption. Our collaborative approach within the hospitality sector is what we believe will drive the industry towards meeting its targets and addressing the wider climate crisis we currently face.”
