The Inver Inn Bar & Kitchen in Easter Ross has been put up for sale by its owners. It currently holds the number one spot on TripAdvisor for ‘restaurants in the Highlands,’ outranking 787 other businesses.

Built in the late 19th century, and sitting close to the NC500 route, the Inver Inn has a long history as a licensed premises, catering to both travellers and locals. The inn’s menu features a fusion of classic Scottish bistro, European, and Asian cuisines, including freshly cooked seafood and stone-baked pizzas.

Listed at £290k through Inverness-based ASG Commercial, the property encompasses a public bar, restaurant area, and beer garden with seating for 72 customers, as well as ample storage, a commercial kitchen, office/owner’s accommodation, and staff areas.

Current owners Wil Craig and Mollie Macfarlane purchased the Inver Inn in early 2021 and have been delighted with its success. “Being recognised as the top place to eat in the Highlands based on customer reviews on TripAdvisor has been the icing on the cake for us, and we, along with our great team, are over the moon,” they said.

The decision to sell the Inver Inn stems from the owners’ desire to focus on their second business, Seafood Eat Food, a shellfish wholesaler serving the hospitality industry in Argyll and the Highlands. Craig and Macfarlane are ready to pass the torch to new owners who can take the Inver Inn to even greater heights saying, “We have really enjoyed our journey over the last few years at The Inver Inn but we feel now it’s time to hand over the reigns to another and let them take the business to the next level”
