1881 Distillery at Peebles Hydro Resort has won two honours at The Gin Guide Awards 2023.
The brand’s navy strength gin, Honours, was crowned a winner in the High ABV category and overall highest scorer for Scotland, while 1881’s Tiffin Gin received a highly commended accolade in the Spiced Gin category.
Named after the year the venue was founded, 1881 Honours Navy Strength Gin pays homage to those injured during the second World War when the hotel served as a military hospital. Meanwhile, Tiffin Gin was crafted in collaboration with Peebles Hydro’s cheffing team, originally as an accompaniment to an Indian concept menu offered at the hotel.
