Smokehead celebrates with 8 international medal wins

Smokehead, the premium Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, is celebrating after winning eight awards across three international competitions –  including three gold medals and five silver medals at the International Spirits Challenge, International Wine & Spirit Competition and San Francisco World Spirits.

Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast won three awards, winning a double gold distinction at the San Francisco World Spirits and a gold award at the International Spirits Challenge, as well as picking up a silver award at the IWSC – International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Smokehead Rum Rebel won two awards, a gold at the International Spirits Challenge and a silver award at the IWSC.

Smokehead Tequila Cask Terminado also won a trio of silver awards. The whisky launched in late 2022 and has already been recognised for its unique character, and, this year it received a silver at the International Spirits Challenge, San Francisco World Spirits and the IWSC – International Wine & Spirit Competition.
