Edinburgh’s Tipo and The Forager in Dollar have been recognised by the Michelin Guide, marking them as top-tier dining destinations. They join nine other restaurants in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland that have been chosen as favourite new restaurants by the Michelin inspector’s.

Tipo, in Edinburgh’s New Town, has been praised for its relaxed and comfortable ambiance, making it an ideal choice for casual dining. The Michelin Guide commends Tipo’s “seriously good” pasta, which offers a blend of British, Mediterranean, and Italian influence as well as its small plates, particularly the “wonderful” sea bass crudo.

Meanwhile, in Clackmannanshire, The Forager has been lauded as a “warm, unfussy” pub. The menu offers a mix of pub classics and creative dishes, and The Michelin Guide praises the dishes for their infusion of “plenty of flavour” into high-quality produce.
