Finlay’s in Shawland’s has re-opened with a new name, and after a £250k revamp thanks to Admiral Taverns.   The new pub, under the stewardship of licensee Jacqueline Kyle, is now called The Millwood.

This is the biggest investment that Admiral have done in Scotland to-date, and as well as upgrading the furniture, fixtures and retaining the original features of the building, the community pub has introduced a new cocktail menu, and will run entertainment nights from quizzes, live music to drag acts.

Jacqueline said, “It really is such an honour to take over The Millwood and to be a part of this refurbishment.”

Liz Brady, business development manager at Admiral Taverns, also said that it was “fantastic to see how passionate Jaqueline is about the pub, which has been demonstrated through her excellent support throughout this refurbishment.

“The opening night was a great success, and I am sure The Millwood will be a hub for the Glasgow community for many years to come.”
