Inverarity Morton served up something special this month when they ran EVOLUTION 2023. With 85+ drinks brands exhibiting at the fourth incarnation of the event @ Platform in Glasgow, it provided the brands an opportunity to showcase their premium products, demonstrate innovative new serves, and meet both potential and existing customers in-person.
Over 1,000 hospitality professionals registered to attend this celebration of the ever-evolving Scottish drinks industry, and were invited to enjoy the category ‘zones’ exploring the latest cocktail fashions in ‘Mix It Up’ – where brands like WhiteBox & Funkin’ demonstrated both ready-made, and canned cocktail varieties, and Marie Brizard & Bacardi exhibited – and distributed – their wide range of cocktail products.
Inverarity Morton hosted ‘Around the Barrel’ in their whisky zone, where Highland Park had created a sensory flavour garden, and Loch Lomond Whiskies gave everyone the opportunity to sample their range of award-winning single malts, and practise their golf swing!
Moving through to the ‘Agave Collection’ the focus was squarely on the popular Mexican spirit that has enjoyed new levels of consumer demand over the past few years. Evolution visitors sipped tequila-based drinks crafted by the likes of industry titans Patron, Casamigos, and El Jimador.
The largest zone at Evolution ’23 was ‘The Garden’, a grassy knoll that spotlighted Premium Scottish craft gins including 1881, Glaswegin and Arbikie, and Hendricks Gin invited you to take a seat in their bespoke gin garden. Peroni took guests on a genteel boat trip, and Madri allowed attendees to make moments to take home, with their 360 digital photo booth. WEST brewery were also there to illustrate the ‘evolution’ of beer, with cocktails featuring their latest Radler release, Velo.
The company say that the annual Inverarity Morton EVOLUTION event “demonstrates the passion, enthusiasm and vision, that adeptly encapsulates and celebrates the Scottish drinks and hospitality industry” and that it is a “true showcase for their spirits and beer brands.”
