The UK Bartenders Guild, in partnership with the Mediterranean Aperitivo Programme, are coming to Edinburgh on October 4th to host a food and drink masterclass at Italian bar, Hey Palu, on Bread Street.
The masterclass is being hosted by Elon Soddu of London’s Amaro Bar and he plans to take attendees on a journey to learn about the “simple joy of the time-honoured ritual of the Mediterranean aperitivo.” It will showcase unique ingredients sourced from Italy and Greece to demonstrate the quality of European produce and the perfect moment of consumption to enjoy them. The masterclasses includes tastings of Vermouth di Torino PGI, Pecorino Toscano PDO, PGI Costa d’Amalfi Lemon and Olives from Greece.
The event is part of a series taking place across the UK aimed at raising awareness of European quality products and the Mediterranean ritual of aperitivo with British bartenders and consumers. It will be followed by a consumer awareness campaign to support Mediterranean Aperitivo Week, due to take place throughout the UK between 23rd and 29th October.
The masterclass is free to UKBG members. Register for the free masterclass here.
