BrewDog has submitted plans to Edinburgh City Council that would see it open in Waverley station, its first bar in a Scottish train station.

The plans would transform the existing Beer House and include both interior and exterior enhancements as well as a cold room installation.

The pub would feature a seating capacity of about 70, and the extensive internal changes with the bar and gantry set for a full replacement, the kitchen refurbished, and a thorough internal redecoration. Externally, the timber bi-folding doors are to be redecorated, to complement the installation of new signage.

If the council gives the green light, this would be BrewDog’s fifth bar in the capital including locations at Cowgate, Lothian Road, and the airport.
